The Mission

Elephant Memories is an educational platform to enhance the learning capabilities of its participants. Its mission is to optimize the communication and data retaining skills of each of the students. The learning programs are custom designed for each individual participant so he/she can learn at their own pace while minimizing stress during the process.

Among many of our programs include, intermediate and upper-level English, Business English negotiation, sales marketing, job interview skills, management training, presentation skills, communications, soft skills, body language interpretation, life coaching and business coaching. We also offer ancillary programs such as Spanish (beginners and advance) , Becoming a Poet, Team Building.

The Teacher

I am a native English speaker from San Francisco, California USA. During my careers I was a chemist, owner of a catering business as well as a pet sitting business, a salesman, a marketer, and a teacher. I have taught many students’ business skill sets that are essential to obtain better jobs. I am TEFL and TESOL certified. I have eight years of teaching experience in various topics.

By defining your final English learning objective or goals, I can customize the teaching method, learning materials and teaching style to accelerate your learning. I usually avoid a rigid and monotonous “follow the syllabus” approach. Learning should be fun. I use a proven teaching technique with a high absorption and retention rate of the learned material. Therefore you learn faster!

I believe in the “try it before you buy it” approach so we offer the first class for free. Oh! One more thing, I don’t speak Hungarian, so it encourages you further to speak only English. I have 165 students who have graduated and are successful at their job goals.

Start learning English

Hungary is quickly moving to become a great economic nation. At this rate it will outpace Western Europe in terms of its economy. Hungarians are quickly realizing that in order to do business globally they need to learn a second common language. Of all the possible language options, English as a second language is essential to communicate with the rest of the world.

Should I learn English with a native speaking teacher?

That is a tough question to answer. There are particularly good nonnative teachers out there and they probably will teach you well however one important point is that native speakers know idioms and slang. Think for a second of your own language, imagine all of the slangs that you use that are not easily understandable by a nonnative speaker.

Why you should learn English?

Logically, learning English will increase your self-worth function and significantly increases your probability of getting the job you always wanted or get a promotion in your current one. Also it increases your self confidence in the ability to communicate easily in a foreign language. This might launch you into learning in a third language.

Teaching methods

We have seen language classes where the teacher only concentrates on grammar and extraordinarily little in practical communication. It quickly becomes a boring and tedious way of learning. Therefore, our teaching style focuses on the communication and expression first.

Items you need

1) A way of recording your voice such as a smart phone apps to record 2) Writing materials to take notes 3) Access to a printer so you can print your homework if applicable 4) Access to a scanner to send back the completed homework. We use a scanner app in our phone (free) that does a great job. 5) DEDICATION – the only way to learn is to have a commitment to succeed at the task of learning the language.

We also organize group lessons that focuses on communication which leads to self confidence in speaking in English.

Live & Online teaching

Learn idioms, native speaking pronunciation. Emphasis on using the correct phrasal verbs to sound native. We can focuses on how to pass (with good grades) standardized exams such as Euro-Exam, TOEFL, ECL. We are offering a variety of Business English modules with emphasis on accounting, banking, finances, economics, engineering, pharmacy, sales and marketing, technical writing, human resources.

Business negotiation

This seminar focuses in efficient and effective communication. The strict rules of communication are sometimes ignored, when, for example, a stressed negotiator's only goal is to reach an agreement as quickly as possible. That puts him at a disadvantage from the start. We show you how to determine the right move in the negotiation.

Sales Marketing

Customers are your viable source of revenue, treat them with respect and act on their needs and they will increase your business. No one is born a salesman, is an acquired skill. It involves highly developed listening, communication, and psychological skill set. We provide you with the key components to be persuasive in delivering a message.

Job interview

We all want that dream job to come to us and the reality is that you must pursue this job. This is a hands-on experience in how to properly interview and provide the right answers to the questions asked. It emphasizes shortcuts that you can take to be noticed above all other applicants. We all think we are going to do well during a job interview but is like taking a test without studying. We maximize your potential of grasping your dream job.

Management training

This course concentrate on how to become a leader and maintain leadership in your team. Shows proven effective motivation techniques that develop loyalty in your team. . This course also focuses in the written business communication. It provides all the necessary tools to clearly communicate on a professional level and it enhances the credibility of its content.

Presentation skills

Getting over your fears of communicating in public. We show you tricks and techniques to overcome unfounded fears and deliver a crisp presentation. We all have a modicum of fear in speaking in public. This seminar shows you the way to overcome this fear and deliver an excellent presentation.
